HISTORY                                                                                                   

ProAct, Inc., with nearly 40 years of service, is the modern day result of the joining of two highly regarded organizations serving people with disabilities, Owobopte, Inc. and Interstate Rehabilitation Center (IRC).  Owobopte was founded as a small organization providing training and work opportunities for people at what was then the Hastings State Hospital and grew into a sizeable Day Training and Habilitation center in Eagan.  Interstate Rehabilitation Center, located in Red Wing, straddled the Mississippi River and served individuals in both Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

The 2002 merger of these two groups serving people with disabilities created a strong and vital organization, well equipped to serve people and businesses today and in the future.
