Requirements:

*High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Human Services related field; or two years experience working with people with disabilities preferred. Successfully complete DHS background study prior to beginning employment.

*CPR and 1st Aid training provided once hired.
*Possess valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; insurable at non-risk rates.

 

Job Description:

The ILS Coordinator assists individuals in developing/increasing independence and enhance their level of self-sufficiency through training and coaching.

Primary duties include: Provide information, coaching and support to assist individuals in achieving their goals in all areas of independent living (housing, banking, shopping, budgeting, bill-paying, grocery shopping, community integration, etc.) Assists individuals in identifying resources within the community that fulfill their particular needs. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, comfortable working independently, have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.

Hours:
Day Hours, Monday through Friday (some flexibility with start/end times)

Wage: $18.50-$20.50 per hour + Quarterly Incentive Program

Hiring Bonus: 

$500 with 1st Paycheck
$500 after 3 months of employment
$500 after 6 months of employment
