|Requirements:||*Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Marketing, Business, Human Service or Vocational Rehabilitation related field; and two years experience working with people with disabilities or equivalent combination of education and experience.|
*Be able to pass CPR and 1st Aid Certification.
*Pass DHS background study.
*Possess valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; must be insurable at non-risk rates.
*Be willing to use personal automobile for company business.
*Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
*Be flexible and open to learning new skills.
*Regular hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., however hours may vary to accommodate
*Experience working with people with disabilities.
*Positive work history with human services experience.
|Job Description:||The Employment Specialist position is an entry-level position to assist people with disabilities find community employment in the Shakopee area. You will provide on-going support for individuals looking for employment and/or support them in maintaining employment. The Employment Specialist seeks out job opportunities, develops relationships with employers and coordinates the placement activities to ensure goals are met. The ideal candidate should:|
*be able to work independently
*have reliable transportation
*be creative, energetic and social
*be willing to promote, develop, and network with community employers and team members
