ProAct’s 2019 Eagan Recognition Banquet at Inwood Oaks in Oakdale featured 2017 Special Olympics Alpine Ski Champion Camilo Mejia, and his coach and mother, Patricia Schaber (above center).
The crowd of nearly 400 listened intently to Mejia’s inspiring stories of athletic persistence, and his preparation to become a Special Olympics ambassador.
Eagan’s long list of Service Award winners was topped by Cindy Ellingson, photo at right, and Mary Pay Myers, who received 40-year awards.
