The Hudson location recently added more than a dozen high school students with disabilities under age 18 to its work training effort.
Job Developer Traci Borchardt said business, life and soft skills are emphasized, as well as job coaching. “We’re teaching them how to get a job, and keep a job.” Thus far, students have been trained in the grocery, hotel and restaurant industries.
The move accommodates a new effort by the Wisconsin Division of Vocational Rehabilitation to serve transition students with disabilities.
