Hudson all-in, thankful, hitting mini-golf, bingo, pie

There was a lot to be thankful for in Hudson Day Support Services during November, said Case Manager LeeAnn Mergens.

“Unity in the Community” enjoyed venturing to Mall of America to work on putting skills at Moose Mountain Adventure Golf. Participants also enjoyed shopping for a Secret Santa gift exchange.  “Who has who?” They would find out very soon!

Hudson participants and staff took a trip to a new adventure and enjoyed the hands-on animal experience at Sea Quest in Roseville. Participants were able to pet and feed the animals and joined the birds in the giant bird cage! “Everyone’s favorite was watching all the sea life in the huge aquarium,” Mergens explained.

The Thanksgiving celebration featured the favorite game- bingo, and a new one, “Pie Walk.” Much like musical chairs, the last person to be seated in a chair received extra whipped cream on pumpkin pie.

Mergens said not to worry, as everyone got a sweet taste of the lovely, traditional Thanksgiving dessert. “So, all were winners in the end.” Participants also had a lovely time creating “Thankful for Turkey” crafts. It was an adventurous month for Day Supports in Hudson.
