ProAct, Inc. is an organization dedicated to serving people with disabilities and other challenges with a wide range of services that enhance employment skills and self-sufficiency capabilities.
I want to acknowledge you and others at ProAct for your 'proactive' stance, ability to work through this tremendously challenging situation and for successfully coming through the other side of a very dark tunnel. Your commitment to community and to folks like Pam shines brightly through. You are amazing! Thank you.
Nate had a few rough staff in the past and it is so refreshing to hear that things are looking up for him. They have said nothing but GREAT things about ProAct and Cindy. Thank you for all that you and your team do, it doesn’t go unnoticed. You guys are so, so appreciated! Happy Tuesday! T.H.
I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful it is to be working with you and your team! I can sum it up in one word, PROFESSIONALISM. Cindy is on time, communicates with Nate regularly, and is organized. Nate looks forward to Tuesdays -- he is at the door waiting for Cindy 10 minutes before she is due to arrive. Listening to Nate and Cindy engaged in conversation while sitting at the kitchen table - a very adult skill, makes me proud of his progress and thankful for Cindy. With Cindy, I hear Nate laughing, being proud of his accomplishments, and always excited for her visit because it is always filled with wonderful experiences. I am so glad that you had a spot for Nate. Thank you.
ProAct has an amazing staff of kind, compassionate and capable people. I really cannot express how much we appreciate this program. Our daughter is nonverbal and has a high level of needs, which at times can be a challenge . . . Since independent work is not possible for her, she enjoys the fact that she gets out in the community the three days she attends.
“I had thought at first, this was a place for him to work, learn a skill,” she said. “I realized later on, they’re helping him to create a life.” Bernie, mother of Jacob
"I say come out and apply. There's so much that needs to be done here. Working with these people is enjoyable, it's rewarding, and it's not a stressful situation. I just enjoy working with them," Bob F.
"When I hear stories that they are shining, and how great it is for them- they love coming here - well, that hits the mark of what we want to be about."
Though it’s difficult for her to put it into words, participant Carmen Strom appreciates the opportunities at ProAct, explains her father, Bill. “That’s a pretty big thing for her,” he said. Her mother has seen the difference ProAct makes. “I can’t say enough about the staff people who work here ... to devote themselves to a program like this ... I’m very grateful,” said Sara, wiping her tears.
"They allowed Christopher (their son) to figure out which group he wanted to be with,"said Mari. "He is used to being treated like a loved and cherished person and ProAct has done that for us ... they've just enabled him to be happy at the program and safe." Christopher attends ProAct in Zumbrota
"This is probably the job where I could actually see myself sticking with it forever. I could see myself retiring from here, for sure." Kayla
"It's all about taking care of the customers and if we have an organization that wants to help provide quality applicants and help them along with that process, that provides better service for our customers and I think it's a great win for everybody." Greg Salmon, Store Manager
“They are a very impressive organization with a good staff who are very enthusiastic about the work they do for their clients. We felt immediately that it was a good fit,” Eric S., IMV Technologies
"The employees that we get from there are really good, really dependable, excellent. I think ProAct is a great company. It's a real asset for Red Wing to have." Pam
"They do a wonderful job and are a very important part of what we do. They're happy to be there and it's great to see that," Ray C., GR Promotions
Mike Donovan hosts a work crew from ProAct. "I've been amazed in particular how, the focus and the pride that they take in what they do," he said. "They work side by side with Grafix Shoppe employees. It's been very good for our business, having this relationship with ProAct. They're really great, and they're fun to be around."
I am happy when I am at ProAct.
We need to get the word out that a program like ProAct exists because the quality of the program and what they do is amazing for adults with disabilities.
I love seeing our residents return home from ProAct with smiles on their faces.
